My Bedtime Beauty Routine

August 26, 2019

Hello my darlings, I thought I’d let you all in on the beauty secrets of my current bedtime routine. I’ve always found that prepping my skin before bed is the best way to not only make sure I have the best nights kip but also give myself the best start to the following day.

Johnson’s

Baby Oil

£2.50

johnsons

Over the summer months my skin tends to dry out (especially after the glorious weekend we’ve just had). So I always make sure I’ve got some Johnson’s baby oil at home to massage into my skin before bed. However, I only use this when I’m not planning on going in the sun anymore because it has no UV protection and can actually amplify the rays of the sun and cause you to burn! I love the way it makes my skin feel instantly hydrated, moisturised and smooth.

Available from Superdrug.

Be Glow – Tia

All-in-one SkinSense Cleansing Device

£199

be glow tia

I thought I’d treat myself to this all-in-one device which cleanses, lifts and tones your skin. I love the sleek, compact design and the fact that it is so simple to use. I’ve even noticed an improvement in the shape and contour of my face so it’s definitely worth the investment!

Available from Net-a-porter.

Kiehl’s

Midnight Recovery Botanical Cleansing Oil

£32

3605971307928

I use this with my Be Glow cleansing device to remove my make-up and cleanse my skin at the end of each day. It is so nourishing, hydrating and soothing. It literally melts away my make-up, I just can’t get enough of it at the moment!

Available from Kiehl’s.

La Roche-Posay

Serozinc Toner

£10

la roche posay

I love how quick and easy this toner mist is to use. It’s super refreshing and purifying and particularly good if you’ve got oily skin. I use it throughout the day as it helps mattify and soothe my skin.

Available from La Roche-Posay.

Elizabeth Arden

Retinol Ceramide Capsules Line Erasing Night Serum

£42

Retinol Ceramide Capsules 300DPI

I apply this serum every night religiously, and to be honest I’m wondering how I ever coped without it (you think I’m joking?)! This makes my skin look so youthful and diminishes any wrinkles. I still cannot get over how much softer my skin is since using this and I highly recommend it!

Available from Elizabeth Arden.

Bybi

Blueberry Booster

100% Cold Pressed Blueberry Oil

£12.50

blueberry bybi

This is also another age fighting product that protects you from exposure to blue light, which is a form of radiation emitted from those things we’re always glued to…phones and laptops, etc. I’ve noticed the overall complexion of my skin has improved since I’ve been using this and it has especially reduced redness.

Available from Bybi.

Rodial

Dragon’s Blood Sculpting Gel

£85

37590

I love using this gel at night because it leaves my skin looking and feeling so much tighter and smoother. I only need to use 1 or 2 pumps from the bottle and then I massage it into my face so it’s super easy to use! Plus it feels so refreshing and soothing on my skin.

Available from Rodial.

It

Confidence In A Neck Cream

£42

IT Cosmetics - Confidence in a Neck Cream - Pack Shot -3605972077295
I decided to splurge on this cream and now I couldn’t live without it! It is so tightening, hydrating and leaves my skin feeling firm and smooth.

Available from Boots.

Yes to Tomatoes

Triple-Threat Blemish Treatment Kit

£9.99

yes to tomatoes
I don’t use this every night, but I wanted to include it to show you guys that it’s something I’ve recently incorporated into my routine as and when it’s needed. If I’m ever suffering from a break-out I just dab some of this on overnight and wake up to find that any spots or pimples are virtually gone! It soothes the area and shrinks the size and inflammation of any blemishes and to top things off, it lasts me ages!

Available from LookFantastic.

OkiOki

Hyaluronic Acid Eye Mask

£40

Pink eye mask packaging and beige face mask_563A5120_300dpi (1)

I know what you’re thinking. Who in their right mind would spend that on an eye mask?! Well it is well worth the money! Not only is this great for everyday use at bedtime, but it’s also the perfect travel companion. It goes everywhere with me! Since using it I’ve had the most restful sleeps and been waking up feeling fresh, bright-eyed and revitalised.

Available from Niche & Cult.

Estee Lauder

DayWear Multi-Protection Anti-Oxidant 24H-Moisture Creme SPF 15

£45

estee lauder

So technically this isn’t part of my bedtime routine, but it goes with the whole process, so I thought why not (I’m really spoiling you guys now aren’t I)? I’ve heard so much about this moisturiser and haven’t got around to trying it until now but wow how I wish I’d tried it sooner! It’s got SPF in it, so I love starting the day by applying this and knowing that my skin is protected from the sun. It’s so replenishing, revitalising and nourishing and I just love the way my make-up glides on top of it so flawlessly.

Available from Estee Lauder.

Wicked Gummy Co

Multi-Vitamin

£14.99

Vitamin D Sunshine

£19.99

gummy co

Ok, so lastly (and again technically not part of my bedtime routine) is these Gummy multi-vitamins that I take as soon as I wake up. I’ve noticed such a difference in my energy levels and overall condition of my skin. I never get that tired lull that I used to at about midday and have noticed myself feel generally stronger, more alert and healthier!

Available from Wicked Gummy Co.

So, there you have it, my bedtime prep and post-snooze rise and shine.

Let me know what products you use to prep your skin before bed?

Love Gail x
