My Top Picks: The Best Home Accessories

May 18, 2018

I’m back with my Top Picks for the Home! I love creating a personal and unique space indoors, with fun accessories and beautiful touches. The below products are all a little fun, unique or quite simply fab! I hope you enjoy.

Star Grey Doormat – Artsy Doormats

Star Grey Doormat

Before we step inside, we have this simple but super cool Star Grey Doormat (£24.99) from Artsy Doormats. The site has tons of fun – and funny – designs such as mats that read “Hello Beautiful” and “Oh no, not you again!”…what a great way to give your doorway a little personality!

Plants – The Little Botanicals At Dobbies

I’m a big believer in having a little greenery around you, so these adorable plants are the perfect addition to any workspace area or coffee table. The ‘Miranda‘ (£9.99) and ‘Chamaedorea‘ (£14.99) are my favourites – they’re easy to maintain and live in lovely grey stone plant pots.

Ulrick Table Lamp – Socket StoreUlrick

The Ulrik Table Lamp (£69) is the first of a few metal-finish Home picks. I’m loving copper and nickel trend right now, so this minimalist style lamp is a must-have for me. The task lamp is complete with a curved wired black base and neck, with the added nickel, hammered, adjustable shade. The golden inner shade offers a gorgeous warm lighting effect to any home! Absolutely LOVE – and be sure to check out Socket Store for loads of fab lighting solutions.

Sapphire Cobalt Blue Cup and Saucer Collection  – Duralex Glassware

French-made brand Duralex are known for their simple designs and outstanding quality; since 1945 don’t you know! What caught my eye with the Sapphire Collection was the gorgeous cobalt blue colour – perfect against white or grey, and a fun change to a lot of boring tableware out there. The design-led toughened glass is chip and shock resistant, meaning it’s suitable for both hot and cold drinks. (This collection is also dishwasher, microwave and freezer proof so if you wanted you could also use them for a dessert/starter). Each glass can also contain up to 35% recycled Duralex glass within it, too!

Wilko Copper Kitchen Collection

452988 Wilko Copper Effect Microwave 20L

I am all for the new Copper Effect Kitchen Collection by Wilko – especially the particularly purse-friendly Microwave (£70), Kettle (£25) and Toaster (£20). These appliances look super-premium and expensive, and I think Wilko have really outdone themselves on this collection! The copper trend seems to be growing by the day, and these gleaming pieces are perfect for adding a touch of glamour. I love copper against black, but these chic appliances will go well with all styles of kitchen. The whole range has a really fuss-free sleek design, which is great if you’re big on keeping your kitchen space clutter-free.

Check out Wilko‘s new Summer home range (pictured below), you won’t regret it!

Silas Mirror – Furnish Your Home

Another gorgeous gold piece to continue the themes of mental-finish homeware! I can’t get enough it seems! Evenly balanced with a chic gold finish, the Silas from Furnish Your Home is perfect if you are looking to add reflection and character to your space. This mirror is stylish and will turn ANY wall into a fabulous feature.

Terrazzo Autunno Cushions – We Love Cushions

We Love Cushions

I love this unusual, chic retro flooring-inspired print cushion. The Terrazzo Autunno (£34.99) print cushion from We Love Cushions is the perfect statement for any armchair. The brand says; “Terrazzo is no longer just for floor tile. In fact, terrazzo-inspired patterns have once again come to the forefront of modern design, thanks in part to a Memphis-Milano revival, also known as the New Memphis“.

Cyclops Mirror by Red Candy

I am OBSESSED with this eye-catching (sorry!) Cyclops Mirror (£46) – it’s a great statement piece to have on the wall without being too big. A lovely one for the bedroom or hallway, it’s in keeping with the gold/metals trend I am loving so much right now. Check out Red Candy for a ton of funky, unusual homeware and accessories – they’ve got loads of products to choose from.

Tile Tracker – The Tile App

Now I love a gadget and this little one is no exception – it’s a Bluetooth location Tile Tracker (£30) for all your important things! It lets you track anything you attach it to, so you can sound an alarm to find it if it’s lost or misplaced. This ‘accessory for your accessories’ can be attached to your keys, handbag, suitcase or wallet – and not to mention it’s VERY Insta-worthy.

Art by Yvonne Coomber

Jewels of Love

Yvonne’s work is beautiful, I adore the Jewels of Love Print which is ‘inspired by the way some people make our hearts sparkle‘ – which I thought was lovely. Yvonne, who is based in Devon, says that her “rainbow drenched paintings sing of wild tumbling hedgerows, tangled meadowlands, open moorlands and magical forests.  They whisper of love.  My intention is to transport the viewer to an effervescent place of happiness that is literally saturated in joy. A place where paint smiles”. I’d highly recommend checking out her website for some amazing art made right here – with loads of love – in the British countryside.

Vanity Mirror – Simple Human

Last but certainly not least, another fab gadget! For perfect makeup application and a brilliantly clear reflection – a Simple Human Sensor Mirror (£179.99) leaves nothing to the imagination and ensures you always leave the house looking tip-top! The newest sensor mirror lights up automatically as your face approaches. Simulating natural sunlight, it allows you to see full-colour variation, so you’ll know when your makeup is colour-correct and flawless. The touch-control brightness gives you fast, intuitive control over a continuous range of brightness. The mirror is cordless and rechargeable – one charge lasts up to 5 WEEKS – which is amazing!

So there you have it, my Top Picks for the Home. I love all of these products and the way they’re able to transform a space! From funky to elegant, minimal to metallic, I hope you’ve found something here that you love, too!
